Carthage Tops Green Knights

KENOSHA - Carthage College scored inside 16 minutes remaining to go on to post a 2-1 win over St. Norbert College in the Carthage Battle on the Border at Art Keller Field.

Julie Schmoldt's 75th minute goal proved the decisive score for the Lady Reds. Carthage held a commanding 26-9 shots advantage, although St. Norbert did have six corner kicks to the Lady Reds' five.

St. Norbert's Katherine Larson scored the game's first goal at 14:35, netting an unassisted marker. Carthage scored the equalizer at 29:39 on Rachel Jason's unassisted score.

Cara Tazioli made 10 saves for St. Norbert, facing 12 shots on goal.
