Green Knights Drop Pair in Oshkosh

OSHKOSH - St. Norbert College suffered its first two losses on the 2009 volleyball season with defeats at the hands of Lake Forest College and Millikin University at the UW-Oshkosh Pizza Hut Classic.

The Green Knights (4-2) fell to the Foresters 26-24, 14-25, 25-16, 27-25 and to the Big Blue 25-15, 25-20, 20-25, 25-27, 16-14.

Against Lake Forest, Sam Jungbluth had 14 kills against one error for a .520 hitting percentage and also had four blocks and three service aces. Lauren Meehan had 11 kills. Amy Perszyk had 38 assists and 15 digs, while Kim Angst had a team-high 16 digs. St. Norbert hit .269 in the match.

Against Millikin, the Green Knights hit just .159. Jungbluth had 14 kills to pace St. Norbert, while Lauren Meehan and Sarah Sulentic had nine kills apiece. Perszyk had 41 assists and 15 digs. Catherine Guido had a team-high 19 digs in the match.

St. Norbert will face Carroll University and Elmhurst College on the second day of the tournament.
