Green Knights, Scherer Win Concordia Invitational

MEQUON - St. Norbert College claimed the title of the Concordia University Falcon Invitational, its first invitational championship since 2004.

The Green Knights, who last won a meet at the 2004 Ripon College Invite, registered 38 team points. Host Concordia was the runner-up with 86 points.

Jenny Scherer handily won the 6,000-meter event with a time of 22 minutes 30 seconds, a full 1:26 ahead of the runner-up. Amanda Whipple was third with a time of 24:19, while Kim Keil was ninth with a time of 24:56.

Brianna Skrzypcak was 10th with a run of 24:59, and Kali Reierson was 15th with a time of 25:43. Erika Quinn placed 19th with a time of 25:57, while Melissa Menne was 29th with a time of 27:05.
