SUPERIOR - Seth Reda's shorthanded goal with 1:06 left in regulation resulted in St. Norbert College and UW-Superior locking up in a 1-1 stalemate in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Wessman Arena.

The Green Knights, ranked No. 2 in the USCHO.com poll, are unbeaten in their last 18 games - going 15-0-3 and are 7-0-3 in the NCHA. Superior is now 10-5-6 overall and 4-4-2 in the NCHA.

Reda's equalizer came when St. Norbert was on a power play after the Yellowjackets took a too many men on the ice penalty with 2:35 left. Reda scored on assists from Huck and Kuntz.

The goal ruined a stellar night from St. Norbert goaltender Kyle Jones, who turned in 34 saves, one short of his career high. Superior goaltender Chad Beiswenger was also up to the task, making 27 saves.

St. Norbert scored at the 8:35 mark of the first period on Tyler Allens' seventh goal of the year off assists from Steven Sleep and Taylor Langford.

The Green Knights would not score again, and had a 16-game scoring streak by Marc Belanger snapped as well as an 8-game scoring streak by Matt Boyd. St. Norbert was 0-for-2 on the power play and is now 1-for-11 with the man advantage in the last three games.

Superior was 0-for-5 on the power play, and killed off three Superior power plays in the second period.
