Scherer Places Fourth at Oberlin, Green Knights Seventh at Wisconsin Private Invite

OBERLIN, Ohio - St. Norbert College senior Jenny Scherer ran to an impressive fourth-place finish among over 200 runners at the Oberlin College Interregional Rumble.

Scherer led the Green Knights to a 15th-place team finish. The Green Knights totaled 396 points. Johns Hopkins University won the event wiht a total of 62 points.

Scherer ran the 6,000-meter course in a time of 21 minutes 49 seconds. Oberlin's Joanna Johnson won the meet in 21:03, while Johns Hopkins' Laura Paulsen was second in 21:37. Elaine Simpson of Case Western Reserve University was third in 21:44.

Freshman Amanda Whipple was 58th overall with a time of 23:24, and Kim Keil was 99th with a time of 24:14. Brianna Skrypczak was 106th with a time of 24:30, and Kali Reierson was 129th with a run of 25:02.

St. Norbert also ran at the Wisconsin Private College Invitational, placing seventh out of 15 teams with 171 points. Kelsey Timm was St. Norbert's top runner with a 14th-place finish in 25:29, while Megan Domnick was 31st with a time of 26:20.
