Men's Harriers Finish Fourth at MWC Meet

ROCKFORD, Ill. - St. Norbert College finished in fourth place at the 2009 Midwest Conference Men's Cross Country Championship held at Rock Cut State Park.

The Green Knights totaled 92 points to finish comfortably in fourth place. Grinnell College won its 13th consecutive title with 22 points. Ripon College was the runner-up with 75 points, while Monmouth College was third with 92 points. Grinnell's Dan Krauss was the conference champion, covering the 8,000-meter course in 26 minutes 42 seconds

Jon O'Brien was St. Norbert's top finisher with a sixth-place finish in 27:38. Aaron Roden finished 12th with a time of 28:03, while Alex DeVillers placed 19th with a time of 28:20.

Mackenzie Laska finished 29th with a run in 28:55, while Seth Hawkins was 36th in 29:11. Benji Wetli and John Barrett rounded out the top seven for St. Norbert with finishes of 42nd and 43rd place in times of 29:19 and 29:25, respectively.
