St. Norbert Opens Season With Strong Showing at UW-Whitewater

WHITEWATER - St. Norbert College's women's track and field team opened the indoor season with several solid performances at the UW-Whitewater Warhawk Opener.

The Green Knights claimed six first-place finishes in the meet, which was unscored.

Calli Nonnemacher won the 200-meter dash with a sprint of 28.44 seconds, and also placed third in the 55-meter dash with a time of 8.01 seconds. Megan Domnick won the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:05.63, and was second in the 200 with a time of 28.98. Emily Schudrowitz added a win in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:34.14. Danielle Allen won the long jump with a leap of 5.04 meters, and placed third in the triple jump in 10.14 meters.

St. Norbert claimed a pair of relay wins. The quartet of Domnick, Danielle Krause, Andrea Bosman and Anne Mueller won the 4x200-meter relay in a time of 1:57.39. Domnick, Schudrowitz, Katherine Larson and Danielle Allen won the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:23.84, 31 seconds ahead of second-place UW-Whitewater. Nonnemacher, Larson, Emily Spone and Ashley Polomis were second in the 4x200 in 1:58.70.

Other runner-up finishes included Allen in the 55-meter hurdles (9.19 seconds), Lindsay Wiebe in the high jump (1.56 meters), Larson in the long jump (4.77 meters) and Whipple in the 3,000-meter run (11:29.34).
