Green Knights Blow Out Knox

DE PERE - The St. Norbert College women's basketball team remained in first place in the Midwest Conference with a 69-31 rout of Knox College at Schuldes Sports Center.

The Green Knights improved to 15-4 overall and 11-1 in the MWC, while Knox fell to 3-16, 1-11.

St. Norbert led 31-16 at halftime after ending the last 6:37 of the half on a 14-2 run. The Green Knights opened the second half on a 20-5 run over the first seven minutes to take a 51-21 lead with 12:46 left. Knox would get no closer than 28 points the rest of the way.

St. Norbert shot 42.4 percent from the floor, making 25 of 59 field goals. Eleven different players scored for St. Norbert, and was led by junior forward Cortney Biese. Biese had 11 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Stefanie Bunday, Emily Otzelberger and Victoria Le Fevre all had nine points for St. Norbert.

Knox, which had 34 turnovers, shot 27.3 percent (9-for-33) from the floor. Erin Navolio led the Prairie Fire with nine points.
