Allen's Jumps Lead St. Norbert at UW-Stevens Point Invite

STEVENS POINT - Danielle Allen's wins in the long jump and triple jump led St. Norbert College to a second-place finish at the UW-Stevens Point Pointer Invitational.

The Green Knights totaled 160 points to finished behind winner UW-Stevens Point's 187 points. The College of St. Scholastica was third with 127 points.

Allen finished with a leap of 5.14 meters in the long jump and 10.66 meters in the triple jump. Allen, who placed third in the 55-meter hurdles in 8.84 seconds, was also the winning 4x400-meter relay squad with Megan Domnick, Emily Schudrowitz and Katherine Larson. The quartet finished with a time of 4:10.02.

The 4x200-meter relay of Calli Nonnemacher, Danielle Krause, Anne Mueller and Hope Kovala won with a time of 1:58.61. The distance medley relay of Amanda Whipple, Kovala, Jenny Scherer and Melissa Menne finished first with a time of 14:00.23.

Danielle Krause claimed a win in the pole vault, clearing a height of 2.74 meters.

In the 5,000-meter run, Erika Quinn placed second with a time of 20:28.09, while Kaylee Beck was third with a time of 22:13.38. Schudrowitz was second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.11 seconds and was also second in the 400 with a time of 58.77. Scherer was second in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:19.90, while Lindsay Wiebe was second in the high jump at 1.61 meters.
