St. Norbert Rolls Grinnell

DE PERE - St. Norbert College moved one step closer to clinching home court advantage for the Midwest Conference Women's Basketball Tournament with a 79-34 blitz of Grinnell College at Schuldes Sports Center.

St. Norbert was in command throughout the game, jumping out to a 20-point lead at 30-10 just 15 minutes into the game. The Green Knights led 40-19 at halftime.

Grinnell got to within 42-24 after it opened the second half on a short 5-2 run, but St. Norbert held Grinnell for 12 minutes without a field goal. St. Norbert's largest lead was 46 at a 74-28 bulge with 2:57 left.

St. Norbert shot 62.7 percent from the floor for the game, making 32 of 51 field goals. Eleven different players scored for St. Norbert. Morgan Strasser led the Green Knights with 18 points, while Linsey Propson added 13 points and Cortney Biese 10 points and 10 rebounds. The Green Knights held a 41-22 rebounding advantage.

Grinnell made just 20 percent of its field goals, connecting on 10 of 50 attempts. The Pioneers were just 4-for-27 from the floor in the second half. Hannah Wolf and Mallory Scharf led Grinnell with nine points apiece.
