St. Norbert Splits With Carthage and St. Mary's

JACKSON - St. Norbert College split a pair of dual matches at the Pleasant Valley Tennis Club, falling to Carthage College 7-2 before topping St. Mary's University 6-3.

The Green Knights (2-2) picked up a pair of singles wins against the Red Men. Eric Koppmann topped Matt Whiteside 6-3, 6-1 at No. 3, while Nate Tackaberry beat J.T. Delk 2-6, 6-0, 10-7 at No. 4.

St. Norbert took a pair of doubles points against St. Mary's. Derek Harrington and Nick Acosta beat Justin Loeffler and Sam Puff 8-5 at No. 2. Koppmann and Tackaberry beat Steven Mino and Andrew Rangitsch 8-5 at No. 3.

In singles action, Harrington beat Pawel Szczepkowski 6-0, 6-3 at No. 2, while Koppmann topped Jack Schway 6-1, 6-2 at the No. 3 flight. Mike Hyrczyk beat David Reckase 6-4, 7-5 at No. 5, and Ethan Kadow won at No. 6 by a 6-2, 6-2 score over Rangitsch.
