Scherer, Schudrowitz to Compete at NCAA Indoor Championship

DE PERE - St. Norbert College senior Jenny Scherer and sophomore Emily Schudrowitz wlll compete at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship this weekend at DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind.

Scherer earned a berth in the 5,000-meter race, while Schudrowitz will compete in the 800-meter run.

Scherer, who finished fourth in the indoor 5K last year, is seeded 13th heading into the meet with a top time of 17 minutes, 22.58 seconds. Westfield State's Kerry Arouca is the top seed with a time of 17:03.41. The 5,000-meter race will start at 3:20 p.m. CST Saturday.

Schudrowitz enters as the third seed in the 800 with a time of 2:11.65. Keene State's Allison Chamberlain is the top seed at 2:09.30. The 800 trials are at 4:55 p.m. CST Friday, while the final is at 2:45 p.m. CST Saturday.
