AUBURNDALE, Fla. - St. Norbert College took the second game of a doubleheader with Albright College to salvage a doubleheader split at the Auburndale Complex.

Albright (1-6) claimed the opener 7-5 before the Green Knights (2-2) had an offensive outburst to take the nightcap 17-7.

St. Norbert pounded out five-straight hits to open game two. Matt Hannon's triple plated Jordan Powers, with Jared Yost's RBI single making it 2-0. Ryan Gusick had an RBI single, Garrick Fisher an RBI grounder and Lance Smith a sacrifice fly to give the Green Knights a 5-0 first-inning lead.

Ryan Gusick had a solo home run in the third for a 6-3 lead. Albright cut the deficit to 7-6 in the fifth before the Green Knights scored seven times. Hannon had a three-run double and Tony Jandron a three-run home run in the uprising.

Hannon finished the second game 3-for-5 with two runs scored and six RBIs. Yost, Jandron and Gusick all had two hits for St. Norbert, which had 13 hits in the game.

Jeff LaJeunesse worked 4 2/3 innings to get the win, allowing eight hits and six runs with five strikeouts. Kyle Mahlik finished up with 2 1/3 innings pitched with two hits and one run.

In the opener, Rob Mancinelli's two-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the seventh lifted Albright to the win. The home run wasted a three-run rally by St. Norbert in the top of the seventh, with Jandron's two-out, two-run double tying the game.

Powers finished 3-for-4 with two runs scored in the opener, while Yost and Jandron had two hits apiece.

Ryan Sullivan took the loss, allowing two hits and two runs with three strikeouts in one inning of relief. Starter Bryan Stoppenbach took a no-decision, allowing eight hits with five runs and four strikeouts.
