WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - St. Norbert College came up just a tad short in losing a 13-inning marathon to Denison University by a 7-6 score.

The Green Knights dropped to 3-3 on the year, while Denison improved to 6-3.

Danny Pritz's walk-off double with one out in the bottom of the 13th was the difference, and the only run scored by either team in the four extra innings.

St. Norbert scored two runs in the top of the ninth to take a 6-5 lead. Matt Hannon and Ryan Gusick scored on a bizarre play where there was an infield error and outfield throwing error on the same sequence. The Big Red tied the game in the bottom of the ninth when Pritz's RBI groundout scored a run that was set up by a successful one-out hit-and-run.

The Green Knights took a 4-3 lead in the fourth on an RBI single by Jordan Powers and an RBI double by Matt Hannon. Denison scored single runs in the fifth and seventh to creep ahead 5-4.

Hannon had five of St. Norbert's 15 hits, going 5-for-6. Powers and Garrick Fisher were both 2-for-6. Kyle Mahlik took the loss on the mound, allowing one run and five hits in 3 1/3 innings of relief. Ryan Sullivan started and worked the first 8 1/3 innings, allowing six runs with two walks and six strikeouts.
