St. Norbert Falls to No. 18 Augustana

AUBURNDALE, Fla. - St. Norbert College couldn't hold down nationally ranked Augustana College and lost 16-6 at the Lake Myrtle Complex.

Augustana, which is ranked 18th by D3baseball.com, improved to 8-0. St. Norbert fell to 3-4.

St. Norbert tied the game at 2-2 when the Green Knights scored a pair of runs on a three-base outfield error in the top of the fourth. The Vikings answered with a five-run fourth and two runs in the fifth to take a 9-2 lead.

The Green Knights cut the deficit to 9-6 with a four-run sixth. Tony Jandron had an RBI single and Garrick Fisher followed with a three-run home run, but St. Norbert would get no closer. Augustana scored four times in the bottom of the sixth and three in the seventh to end the game on the 10-run rule.

St. Norbert had seven hits. Jandron and Fisher were both 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Trevin Hillesheim took the loss, allowing nine runs with nine hits and three walks with one strikeout in 4 2/3 innings.
