Green Knights Top Knox to Win Fifth Dual in Last Six Outings

GALESBURG, Ill. - St. Norbert College claimed its fifth win in its last six dual matches with an 8-1 non-conference win over Knox College. The Green Knights (9-14) swept a three-match roadtrip over the weekend against Midwest Conference South Division foes.

St. Norbert picked up two doubles points to get things started. Eric Koppmann and Nate Tackaberry beat Brian Leddy and Kenton Tilford 8-2 at No. 2. Matt Lobeck and Matt Schmitz beat David Ham and Cody Dailey 8-0 at the No. 3 flight.

Schmitz beat Tilford 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5 singles, and Nick Acosta beat Cody Dailey 8-0 in a pro-set at No. 6. Tackaberry and Lobeck both picked up 6-1, 6-3 wins at Nos. 3 and 4 singles, respectively. Tackaberry defeated Ham and Lobeck toppled Leddy.

Koppmann claimed St. Norbert's other win at No. 2 singles with a 6-5, 7-5 (7-1) win over Shawn Mulani.
