Green Knights Breeze Past Beloit

BELOIT - St. Norbert College won for the seventh time in its last nine outings with a 9-0 triumph over Beloit College in a Midwest Conference North Division match at Strong Stadium Tennis Courts.

The Green Knights are now 11-15 overall after a 4-13 start, and are 2-0 in the MWC North. Beloit dropped to 1-7, 0-1.

St. Norbert did not drop a point in doubles action, with all three matching finishing 8-0. Derek Harrington and Nate Tackaberry beat Alex Sterett and Phil Ramsbottom at No. 1, Jordan Bauer and Mike Hyrczyk topped Evan Orman and William Harris at No. 2, and Matt Lobeck and Tommy Weiler blanked Dylan Kocinski and Geoff Wickens at No. 3.

Lobeck beat Kocinski 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5 singles, while Ethan Kadow defeated Brian Liewergen 6-1, 6-1 at No. 6. Hyrczyk beat Harris 6-0, 6-2 at No. 4, and Harrington routed Sterett 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1.

Tackaberry beat Ramsbottom 6-2, 6-4 at No. 3, while Eric Koppman needed three sets to beat Orman 7-6 (7-3), 5-7, 10-5 at No. 2.
