DE PERE - St. Norbert College recorded its seventh 20-win season in school history with a Midwest Conference doubleheader sweep of Carroll University by scores of 3-0 and 5-1 at Mel Nicks Field.

The Green Knights, now 20-6 overall and 10-0 in the MWC, are 15-1 since going 5-5 during their spring-break trip to Florida. Carroll dropped to 10-15, 5-6.

Kayla Krueger improved to 9-1 on the season with a four-hit shutout in the opener. Krueger did not walk a batter and struck out four to record her fourth complete-game shutout of the season.

St. Norbert scored twice in the third on a Krueger single and a Brieanne Oehlke sacrifice fly. The Green Knights added a run in the fourth when Brittany Narges' RBI triple scored Alyssa McGray.

In the nightcap, the Green Knights took the early lead with two runs in the first inning. Stephanie Ortiz scored on an infield error and Narges had an RBI single. Ortiz jacked a solo home run in the third inning. Carroll cut its deficit to 3-1 with a run in the sixth, but the Green Knights answered in their half of the inning with sacrifice flies by Narges and Kristin Zimmerman.

Kari Corbeille allowed five hits with no walks and five strikeouts to improve to 6-3. Ortiz and Oehlke were both 2-for-3 to pace St. Norbert.
