Schudrowitz Automatically Qualifies for NCAA Outdoor Meet With 800 Win at Gina Relays

HILLSDALE, Mich. - Sophomore Emily Schudrowitz earned an automatic berth into the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship with a win in the 800-meter run at Hillsdale College's Gina Relays.

Schudrowitz's time of 2:10.61 was the winning time by more than a half-second. Schudrowitz, who won the NCAA Division III 800 indoor title in March, nipped the automatic qualifying time of 2:11.00.

Jenny Scherer provisionally qualified in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:20.59, which placed ninth. Amanda Whipple ran in the 10,000-meter run, placing 24th with a time of 38:49.90.

St. Norbert also completed at the unscored Marquette Twilight in Milwaukee, running against primarily Division I competition.

Andrea Bosman, Anne Mueller and Hope Kovala finished as the top three, respectively, in the 100-meter hurdles. Bosman ran a time of 17.53 seconds, while Mueller ran a 17.87 and Kovala an 18.51.

Lindsay Wiebe captured the high jump title with a height of 1.60 meters. Mueller, Danielle Krause, Calli Nonnemacher and Katherine Larson comprised St. Norbert's 4x100-meter relay that placed second in 52.03 seconds.
