Green Knights Women Place Third at Oshkosh Invite

OSHKOSH - The St. Norbert College women's track and field team placed third among nine teams at the UW-Oshkosh Invitational held at Kolf Sports Center.

The Green Knights 86 points easily outdistanced fourth-place Ripon's 38 points. UW-Oshkosh won the meet with 312 points, while Carroll was second with 102 points.

Ashley Graybill set a school record for the fourth consecutive week, this time setting a new standard in the 200-meter dash. Graybill's time of 26.02 seconds won the event by nearly two-tenths of a second. Graybill also took fifth in both the 55-meter dash (7.67) and high jump (4-7 3/4).

Jenny Scherer won the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:35.00, and also placed fourth in the 1-mile run with a time of 5:18.60.

The St. Norbert 4x400-meter relay team of Marisa Trakanovich, Stacy Holmberg, Graybill and Katie Meyer placed second with a time of 4:09.86.

The 4x200-meter relay team of Nicole Swanson, Anne Mueller, Graybill and Liz Campbell placed third with a time of 1:52.92.

Meyer was second in the 400-meter run with a time of 1:02.43, and added a fifth-place showing in the 200 with a finish of 27.78.

Trakanovich placed third in the 400 with a time of 1:03.79, while Jenna Kick was fourth in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 11:23.96.
