BEREA, Ohio - St. Norbert College senior Jenny Scherer claimed her sixth career All-America honor in track and field with a fourth-place finish in the 10,000-meter run at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Baldwin-Wallace College's George Finnie Stadium.

Scherer finished fourth for the second consecutive year and placed sixth as a sophomore for her third All-America honor in the 10K. Scherer is only the third female in the last 10 years to be a three-time All-American in the 10,000-meter run.

Scherer ran a time of 36 minutes 1.3 seconds, finishing almost 10 seconds out of third place. The University of Chicago's Liz Lawton won the event with a time of 34:41.59, while Pomona-Pitzer College's Alicia Freese was second at 35:23.79. Carleton College's Simone Childs-Walker was third in 35:51.46.

Coupled with her two cross country All-America honors, Scherer is now an eight-time All-American between cross country and track and field.
