St. Norbert Wins Muskie Classic
HOWARDS GROVE - St. Norbert College captured the championship of the Lakeland College Muskie Classic with two more wins on the second day of the tournament to finish the weekend 4-0.
The Green Knights topped host Lakeland 25-17, 25-17, 25-17, and then beat UW-Superior 16-25, 25-21, 25-16 and 25-18. St. Norbert has won 34 of its last 38 matches overall.
Against Lakeland, Sarah Sulentic and Lauren Meehan each had seven kills. Amy Perszyk had 21 assists and five digs. Kim Angst had three aces and five digs.
Against UW-Superior, Hannah Bowe had 14 kills, while Meehan and Sam Jungbluth each posted 13 kills. Perszyk had 42 assists and 10 digs, while Angst had nine digs and two aces.
