St. Norbert Splits at UW-Oshkosh Tournament
OSHKOSH - St. Norbert College split a pair of matches to end up finishing 1-3 at the UW-Oshkosh Pizza Hut Classic.
The Green Knights topped Carroll University 25-20, 25-13, 23-25, 25-16 before falling to Elmhurst College 25-17, 25-21, 25-14. The Green Knights are now 5-3 on the season heading into a pair of matches Tuesday, again in Oshkosh, against Ripon College and UW-Oshkosh.
Against Carroll, St. Norbert had 10 kills apiece from Sam Jungbluth and Lauren Meehan. Laura Ayello had 37 assists, while Jungbluth and Sarah Sulentic each had five blocks. Amy Perszyk had 16 digs, while Catherine Guido added 13 digs and Kim Angst 12. St. Norbert hit .269 in the match.
Against Elmhurst, St. Norbert received eight kills from Danielle Remy and Sulentic, with Jungbuth and Meehan each getting six. Ayello had 29 assists, while Guido was the only digger in double figures with 18. Remy added three blocks.
