Green Knights Win Aurora Tournament
AURORA, Ill. - St. Norbert College won its second invitational tournament championship of the season with a 4-0 record at the Jim Coleman Memorial Tournament at Aurora University.
The Green Knights topped Judson University 25-27, 25-12, 25-16, 25-22 before topping host Aurora 25-18, 25-19, 25-19 to finish the weekend sweep. St. Norbert won the Lakeland College Muskie Classic on Sept. 4-5 for its first tournament title of the year.
Against Judson, Lauren Meehan had 11 kills and 10 digs while Sam Jungbluth added 11 kills. Laura Ayello had 36 assists, while Catherine Guido had 16 digs. Sarah Sulentic also posted 10 kills with four blocks.
Against Aurora, Ayello had 24 assists and nine digs, while Sulentic had a team-high 10 kills. Danielle Remy had eight kills with three blocks while Guido added 17 digs.
Jungbluth was named to the seven-person all-tournament team.
