Schadrie Scores Twice as Green Knights Top Beloit
BELOIT - Jessica Schadrie scored two goals as St. Norbert College topped Beloit College 4-2 in a Midwest Conference match at Strong Complex Field.
The Green Knights (4-3, 2-0 MWC) led 3-1 at halftime despite allowing a Beloit goal by Anna Blankschien just 1 minute 27 seconds into the match. Schadrie converted on a penalty kick at 23:03. Katherine Larson scored 1:51 later to give the Green Knights a 2-1 lead, and Stephanie Gatyas scored at 36:01 off a Lauren Heim assist for a 3-1 advantage.
Beloit (5-4, 2-2) cut the deficit to 3-2 on a Molly Dickson score at 51:17, but Schadrie notched her third goal of the season and the 55th of her career with an assist from Larson at 54:04.
St. Norbert outshot Beloit 17-10 and held a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks. Cara Tazioli made three saves for St. Norbert, while Katie Schurr made nine stops for the Buccaneers.
