JoAnn Krueger enters her 11th season as head softball coach of the Green Knights. Krueger piloted St. Norbert to a Midwest Conference championship in 2007, also earning its first NCAA Division III Tournament berth in the process.
Krueger, who coached St. Norbert to a Midwest Conference second-place finish in 2001, enters the 2008 season with a 170-154-1 record. Under her watch, St. Norbert has won 20 games four different times, and won a school-best 11 conference games in 2007.
Krueger was an assistant coach at St. Norbert under Connie Tilley for two seasons fom 1994-95. She had been an assistant coach and pitching coach at Denmark High School and assisted with the Vikings' WIAA Division 2 state title team in 1997. She is the coordinator for the Denmark Girls’ Fastpitch Summer League.
Krueger has also had a successful playing career as a longtime area pitcher. She was a member of five ASA Women's Major State Championship teams and was named to the ASA All-State teams four times, including honors as Most Valuable Player in 1979 and 1986, and Most Valuable Pitcher in 1978 and 1981. Krueger has pitched 14 career no-hitters. |
