JoAnn Krueger is in her 18th season as head softball coach of the Green Knights. Krueger is also the equipment manager for the St. Norbert athletics department.

Krueger enters the 2015 season with a 312-267-1 record. Under her watch, St. Norbert has won 20 games seven different times. St. Norbert has won Midwest Conference titles and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament four times in the last eight years.

Krueger directed St. Norbert to a banner year in 2010, with the Green Knights finishing with a glistening 33-8 overall record. St. Norbert, which went unbeaten against Midwest Conference foes, went on to finish third in a highly competitive eight-team Great Lakes Regional in the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Krueger also piloted St. Norbert to a Midwest Conference championship in 2007, also earning its first NCAA Division III Tournament berth in the process. The Green Knights repeated the feat in 2009.

Krueger was an assistant coach at St. Norbert under Connie Tilley from 1994-95. She had been an assistant coach and pitching coach at Denmark High School and assisted with the Vikings’ WIAA Division 2 state title team in 1997. She is the coordinator for the Denmark Girls’ Fastpitch Summer League.

Krueger has also had a successful playing career as a longtime area pitcher. She was a member of five ASA Women’s Major State Championship teams and was named to the ASA All-State teams four times, including honors as Most Valuable Player in 1979 and 1986, and Most Valuable Pitcher in 1978 and 1981. Krueger has pitched 14 career no-hitters.
