Ryan Vandervest is in his eighth year as an athletic trainer at St. Norbert College. He is the primary athletic trainer for football, baseball and men’s and women’s basketball.
Vandervest is nationally certified as an Athletic Trainer through the National Athletic Trainers' Association and is a Licensed Athletic Trainer in the state of Wisconsin. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and a CPR/AED and First Aid Instructor through the American Red Cross. He is certified as an ImPACT Trained Athletic Trainer, which is a computerized assessment tool used to evaluate and treat concussions. Vandervest oversees the athletic training student aides at St. Norbert College and is the supervisor for the St. Norbert Sports Medicine Internship.
Prior to arriving at St. Norbert, Vandervest spent 2004 to 2007 at Prevea Sports Medicine of Green Bay, working with the Green Bay Blizzard as well as area high schools.
Vandervest, a Rio Creek native, is a 2002 graduate of UW-Oshkosh and earned his master’s degree from Northern Michigan University in 2004. He spent two years at Northern Michigan University as a graduate assistant, working in athletics as well as teaching accredited athletic training program courses.
Vandervest and his wife, Lyndsay, reside in Green Bay with their sons, Dylan and Gavin.
