40th Annual All Saints Day Ecumenical Concert

The Chorale celebrates its 40th Anniversary All Saints Day Ecumenical Concert in a special way. Accompanied by a 36-piece symphony orchestra, the program includes the Duruflé Requiem, which was performed at the first concert 40 years ago. Hear the world premiere God of Music, Guide Our Song. The Chorale commissioned award-winning composer, Blake Henson, to write  the work in honor of the anniversary. Other works include Rubenstein’s Seraphic Song and the famous Vivaldi Gloria. The program also features the traditional candlelight ceremony to celebrate the living and the departed saints in our lives.

Please join us for a very special afterglow party! The Dudley Birder Chorale of St. Norbert College celebrates its 40th anniversary in the 2013-14 season. After the All Saints Day Concert on Friday, October 25, 2013, there will be an Alumni Party to reunite singers and special supporters from throughout the Chorale's 40 year history. We'll have memorabilia from past concerts to view, and a booklet of comments from singers for you to take home. There'll be hors d'oeuvres and dessert. Maestro Birder is likely to hear from the singers - a reflection of 40 years of "direction"! The opportunity only comes around once every 40 years, so please join in the fun!

Holiday Pops with the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra

The 150-voice Chorale joins with the 90 voices of the Birder Studio of Performing Arts and the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra for a musical extravaganza! Thrill to the spirit of the season with lush carols and seasonal pops favorites. Conducted by Dudley Birder, the program is the  perfect way to begin the Christmas season … with maybe a visit from Santa.

Ticket price for youth with a student ID is $15. Adult ticket prices range from $20-$50, depending on the seating zone.

The Seven Last Words of Christ

The power and passion of this sacred cantata bring the Easter story to an emotional climax as Théodore Dubois relates the events surrounding the last words spoken by Jesus on the cross.  Local clergy from a variety of religious backgrounds offer brief words of inspiration between each of the seven movements.

Ode to Joy

The Chorale joins the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra for its 100th Anniversary concert Ode to Joy. 

Green Bay Symphony Orchestra’s Centennial Season will come to a close with the epic 9th Symphony of Ludwig Van Beethoven. Composed near the end of his life while almost deaf, this  is perhaps his most stirring and emotional work. The Chorale will grow to more than 200 voices to erupt with the orchestra in the 4th movement. You will have chills running down your spine. This program will begin with world-famous mezzo-soprano Kelley O’Connor singing Brahms’ Alto Rhapsody with the Chorale providing an all-male chorus.
