About Business Administration at St. Norbert College
The business administration degree prepares students for project management, IT and business liaison relationships and global views of systems and process thinking in the corporate world.

The degree students receive at St. Norbert College is set apart from other higher education institutions through a reliance on a strong and values-oriented liberal arts education, combined with the unique curriculum. Our program requires extensive general education and interdisciplinary coursework to ensure our business majors experience a well-rounded education.

The business administration discipline at St. Norbert College awards three majors with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree:

In the general business administration major, students have the option of focusing their advanced electives in one of five concentration areas:

  • General Management
  • Marketing
  • Finance
  • Human Resource Management
  • Global Business

The Global Business concentration provides students extensive knowledge of the cultural issues involved when doing business in foreign countries, with significant training in a foreign language and a required semester overseas in a country where the students' chosen language is spoken.

The accounting sequence results in a 4-year B.B.A. degree which prepares students to work in organizations such as service, banking and manufacturing.

Why study business administration?
The business administration discipline fully supports and affirms the mission of St. Norbert College to provide students with a values-oriented liberal arts education. The business administration discipline recognizes the General Education program as the basis for its particular curricula.

Each business administration major and concentration supports the General Education program by helping students develop skills for effective communication, problem-solving and logical decision-making. These curricula also help students develop an understanding of ethical issues.

Likewise, each business administration major and concentration helps students become knowledgeable and skilled business professionals while preparing them for graduate coursework through a broad-based business preparation that enables majors to:

  • integrate theoretical and applied aspects of business
  • develop technical, conceptual and human skills
  • understand domestic and global business environments
