January Course Information - 2010 Several on-line business courses are scheduled for January 2010 Session. Course descriptions are provided below. On-Campus Course BUAD 289A Thought Leadership: Marketing Ideas Through Integrated Media Instructor: Mr. Dana Van den Heuvel (contact Dr. Wolfgang Grassl for more information) The course focuses on the marketing of ideas to gain "thought leadership" at a rapid pace by using new electronic media. The course covers the development and implementation of campaigns to spread messages for various purposes (fundraising campaigns, political mobilization, promotion of products and ideas, etc.) by using networks. Pre-requisites: Junior or Senior standing. Satisifies Marketing Concentration elective. On-Line CoursesBUAD 142 Computer Applications Contact: Professor Michael Gemignani The course provides the flexibility to complete course objectives via the use of the Internet. The only time students will be required to be on campus or arrange for a proctor during J-term is to complete the midterm and final. Prior to the course, students will be required to complete an orientation session on campus. The objectives of this course include developing an understanding of information technology, examining how IT is used to transform business, and refine and develop computer skills in areas such as spreadsheet, database concepts, and PowerPoint. Pre-requisites: Grade of "C" or better in MATH 114 or 115; or completion of MATH 124 or 131; or consent of instructor.
