Matthew J. Stollak, Ph.D., SPHR is an Assistant Professor of Business Administration at St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI. He teaches courses in Compensation, Collective Bargaining, Human Resource Management, Management, Organizational Behavior, Organizational Theory, and Business Statistics. His articles have been published in HR News, Employee Assistance Quarterly, and Small Group Research. He has also contributed a book chapter to a book of Human Resource Management readings and was the lead author of a toolkit on working with student human resource management organizations.
His academic interests include the impact of spirituality on job satisfaction, absenteeism, and stress at work, examining difference in perceptions of students and employers upon graduation, and measuring the effectiveness of employee assistance programs
He is active within the Society for Human Resource Management, serving at the local, regional, and national level. He currently serves as a member of the SHRM HR Games Advisory Team, as the North Central Region HR Games Coordinator, as the Wisconsin State SHRM Foundation Director, as the President-Elect to the Green Bay Area SHRM Chapter, and as Student Chapter Advisor to the St. Norbert College SHRM Chapter. His students have been to the National HR Games Championship 3 times, including winning the National Championship in 2003.
