Center for Norbertine Studies
The Center for Norbertine Studies strives to explore, in collaboration with Norbertines throughout the world, how this precious heritage, so rich in its cultural expression and influence down through the centuries and in today’s diverse global community, can inform and help shape spiritual, intellectual and cultural life on our campus. Great Decisions Lecture Series
Great Decisions is a national program meant to bring together local, regional and national experts in an 8-week lecture series devoted to world politics, economic and social issues. Topics of the series are selected by the Foreign Policy Association of America and are intended to provide a local forum for discussion on current political and economic issues of the day. Killeen Chair Lecture Series
Established in 1984 to honor Abbot Sylvester Michael Killeen, O.Praem., the Killeen Chair enables St. Norbert College to bring to campus nationally and internationally known figures in the fields of theology and philosophy. The Killeen Chair also sponsors visits by scholars in fields such as biology, psychology, economics, history, political science, the arts and literature, recognizing the importance of the research and perspectives of other disciplines. Norman and Louis Miller Lecture Series
The Norman and Louis Miller Lecture in Public Understanding was established in 1993 by the Norman Miller Family Foundation in honor of the life of Louis Miller, a native of Green Bay who died in 1989. The annual lectures focus on promoting unity, communication and tolerance among different cultures, religions, ethnicities and traditions. The hope is to develop an understanding which contributes to better understanding among people, both domestically and internationally. Peace and Justice Center Speakers
The Peace and Justice Center was established in 1998 with funding from the Augustine Stewardship Fund Trust of St. Norbert Abbey. The Center is an education resource to expand one's horizons and link people to the global community. The Center sponsors events and lectures each semester to promote the study and practice of peace and justice, global ethics and human dignity, both economically and socially, locally, nationally and globally. St. Norbert Distinguished Lecture Series
The St. Norbert Distinguished Lecture Series is held at the Door Community Auditorium in Fish Creek. The lectures feature faculty of St. Norbert College speaking on various topics.
