Weekend Parking Program-AVAILABLE for (Fri./Sat.) 2/3/12 and 2/4/12

This weekend Friday 2/3/12 and Saturday 2/4/12 the VMC #5 and PAC #3 lots ARE AVAILABLE for student overnight parking.  Any vehicles parked in either of these lots Sunday 2/5/12 overnight will be ticketed. The weekend overnight parking violation fine is $100.00

Program's availability is 100% dependent on the weekend weather forecast. If the forecast is calling for snow than the program will NOT be available. It is the student's responsibility to monitor their email for these and all Parking Bulletins and to park appropriately.

The weekend overnight parking program for the Upper PAC lot # 3 and the VMC lot # 5 allows any vehicle that has a current year SNC permit on it to park on Friday (after 3:30 pm) or Saturday nights in either of these two No Overnight parking lots IF the program is available for that weekend (Fri./Sat.) without being ticketed.

The JMS lot # 2 is never available for overnight parking.  Overnight guests of students need to park their vehicle in the College Ave. lot # 12.

Winter DrivingTips:

Try not to travel alone, especially in unfamiliar places.
Let someone know your timetable and primary and alternate routes.
Keep and an extra blanket, water and snacks like granola bars, nuts or dried fruit in your car.
Keep a shovel, gloves and an ice scraper in your car and use them.
Remove snow and ice from all windows, lights and license plate prior to traveling.
Travel with a fully charged cell phone.
Keep your gas tank near full to avoid ice in the tank and fuel lines.

Campus Safety can jumpstart dead batteries 24/7/365. Call 403-3299 for assistance.

BIKE REMOVAL DEADLINE 11/22/11

Students need to remove their bikes from all campus bike racks by 6 p.m. on Nov. 22 (except for the racks on the porch of 3M; these racks are available year round).

This removal allows the SNC grounds staff to clear snow from the sidewalks throughout winter.

Campus Safety will collect any bikes left in a rack and will hold the bikes until they are claimed or disposed of.  If the bike is locked, the lock will be cut to move the bike. The college does not assume responsibility for locks cut for bike storage.

If you need to store a bike, you can contact the campus parking office at x3948.  They can give you information about storing a bike inside a secure building on campus during winter.
