Alumni Profile: Kevin Bell
Kevin Bell is a 1991 graduate with a BBA. He started working for Sherwin Williams a few months after graduation and is still there today. Starting in the management trainee program, he rose thru the ranks to his current position of District Manager for The South Bend District.
His career path has been Assistant Manager for two years and then a store manager for four years at two different stores in Chicago. From there Kevin was a sales rep in Chicago for the next four years. Then, a Sales Manager in Chicago for another 3 years managing a total of 14 reps in the city and Northwest suburban Chicago. Soon, he was promoted to run the South Bend District, which is where he is employed today. The transition has gone from an Assistant Manager at a store selling $400,000 annually to being responsible for a district of 18 stores (9 in Southern Michigan, 9 in Northern Indiana) and 6 reps with annual sales of over 17 million dollars.
Sherwin Williams actively recruits college grads with a business degree and background and would welcome the opportunity to discuss open positions in the Management Trainee Program with students who have an interest in pursuing a career in business.
