Martin Fallon is a Geologist and Project Manager for Shaw Environmental, Inc. (a 3.1 billion publicly traded environmental services company) in St. Charles, Ill. Martin's responsibilities at Shaw primarily include the direction of solid waste management projects, including landfills, transfer stations and recycling facilities in order to obtain local siting approval, acquire necessary permits, ensure economic feasibility and maintain regulatory compliance.

Martin continues to use his geology background in his management of large-scale hydrogeological investigations of potential landfill sites, including project team leadership, soil boring, rock coring, packer testing, in-situ hydraulic conductivity testing, lab data compilation and reporting.

Additionally, he has assisted many of his clients with their national marketing efforts by conducting feasibility analyses on the potential for new landfill development by looking for geologically and politically suitable landfill sites that could take advantage local opportunities.

In addition to the geology related projects, Martin has also conducted market analyses for his clients to assist in the understanding of population trends, waste generation rates, competitive forces, and other related factors within various marketplaces. These analyses are generally incorporated into feasibility studies that provide client guidance on the environmental and economic benefits/drawbacks of proposed business ventures.
