Alumni Profile: Jaime Leick
Jaime Leick received an English degree from St. Norbert College in 1999 and holds a master's degree in communication, with a journalism emphasis, from Marquette University. She is a 2005 graduate of Leadership Green Bay and is always considering new educational challenges.
Jaime established
Moving Type, a freelance writing business, in early 2006. She works from home now, although rarely in her pajamas. Before that she held positions as a corporate copywriter and the communications director for local non-profit.
Leick provides copywriting services for corporate clients and writes for several Green Bay area publications including The Business News, the BBJ and The Bay Cities Magazine. Her technology column appears the northeast, north central and (as of June '06) northwest editions of The Business News.
Aside from a six-year running youth mentoring relationship, Leick is active with the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce and sits on the Friends of the Library board. She is a steering committee member for Current, the chamber's young professionals network, and coordinates the program's professional reading series.
