Alumni Profile: Suzan Odabasi
Suzan Odabasi graduated from St. Norbert College in 2009 with a degree in English and a Media Studies minor. While she does not exclude graduate school as a possibility within the next year or two, she currently holds a position of Associate Editor at SparkNET Corp. in De Pere.
As an international student with German and Turkish roots, Suzan had a unique experience at St. Norbert. On top of her classes she served as the Features Editor of the St. Norbert Times, a consultant in the Writing Center, Vice President of College Relations of the Student Government Association, a student representative on the Board of Trustees, a T.R.I.P.S. participant and leader, and an eboard member of the diversity organization Beyond Borders. Suzan arrived at SNC as a German Teaching Assistant through an exchange with her German university in Muenster, but fell in love with the campus so irrevocably that she found means to enroll at SNC permanently.
In her spare time, Suzan enjoys writing, reading, volleyball, traveling, friends, politics, and board games. No matter if a day is good or bad, she completes its meaning through her writing. She hopes that her career will include as much writing as possible, and plans to write poetry and fiction throughout her life.
Suzan is excited to see what the next years of her life will bring, but feels a connection to St. Norbert that will last a lifetime. She hopes to stay active in her role as an alumna, no matter where she lives and what she does.
