Alumni Profile: Jenny Seim
During her time at St. Norbert, Jenny gained a wealth of experience through volunteer internships. First, Jenny spent her junior year as Public Relations Intern at Aurora Health Care where she took on a variety of roles. Jenny wrote printed materials including press releases and newsletter articles; assisted with marketing and special events by taking photos and distributing giveaways; and supported her supervisor with media relations by meeting and escorting media at the hospital, just to name a few.
Secondly, during the summer between junior and senior year, Jenny maintained a Special Events Internship at On Broadway, Inc., a non-profit organization who works to improve the Broadway District in Green Bay. Throughout her time at OBI, Jenny got involved with a variety of duties. She researched and composed a list of volunteers; arranged promotional material; and helped vendors and managers at the Taste on Broadway event.
After graduating in May 2011, Jenny accepted a position as Marketing Assistant at the Neville Public Museum Foundation in Green Bay. Jenny engages in a numerous responsibilities which include updating the Museum website, Facebook and Twitter page; composing press releases, the quarterly newspaper and the monthly e-newsletter; designing posters, brochures and handouts; assisting in the Gift Shop; hosting exhibit opening receptions; media relations and event planning. She enjoys the variety of work and is pleased to be surrounded by a dedicated and supportive staff! Marketing Assistant at the Neville truly is a communicator’s dream job!
