Alumni Profile: Elizabeth (Liz) O’Connell Wos

Liz Wos is an Account Executive at Erwin-Penland Advertising. Based in Greenville, South Carolina, Erwin-Penland is South Carolina’s largest integrated marketing agency. Liz works primarily on the Wachovia Bank account as well as non-profit clients in the community. She has built her career with a diverse marketing background, spending time developing different skills in the marketing field – public relations, event planning and account management to name a few.

As an Account Executive, Liz is responsible for reaching clients marketing goals through strategic analysis and creative execution. Her position relies highly on skills learned as a sociology major being able to identify different cultures, audiences and groups in order to effectively speak to them. Not only does Liz’s position allow her to build strong client relationships but internal relationships as well. Internally, Liz works with a team consisting of Copywriters, art directors and production people in order to execute marketing plans.

After completing her education at St. Norbert College, Liz began her career as an intern in Chicago for a small PR agency primarily working with restaurants, chefs and also book publicity. She was hired by Laughlin-Constable in Milwaukee working on several retail accounts doing event planning, public relations and client service. Liz has been with Erwin-Penland since August of 2006.
