Employer Steps to Developing Internships
- Create a job description for your internship position.
- Post the position for student viewing by accessing
Career Connections (an online system for posting jobs and internships that can be viewed by students). Login or create a new employer profile by linking to "Click Here to Register."

- To enter an internship posting, click on "My Jobs" on the toolbar, then select "New Jobs" from the Drop-Down Menu.
- Review student cover letters and resumes.
- Interview students (ask for references).
- Contact the references provided.
- Select a student for your internship position.
- Meet with the intern to discuss starting and ending dates, duties, hours, pay and any other matters affecting the position.
- Train the intern for the position.
- Discuss with your new intern the St. Norbert College
Learning Agreement, which is to be completed by the intern. The learning agreement is required as part of the St. Norbert College Professional Internship Experience. View

one week of the intern's start date, send the completed learning agreement to:

- Review
guidelines for internship supervisors
- Approximately one month into the internship, you may be asked to meet with Jenny Schroth, Assistant Director of Internships, for a site visit.
- Approximately
two weeks prior to the end of EACH school term (semester or summer), complete a
supervisor evaluation of your intern's work. Please review the evaluation with your intern.
- The supervisor and student should retain copies of all forms.

PLEASE NOTE: The supervisor evaluation is required each semester (including summers). It is a way to track student progress.
