Welcome to CareerSearch!
Career Search is a comprehensive database of over 4 million employers -- searchable by industry, size, and location. This powerful database allows you to research both U.S. and International employers.
Many organizations post jobs on their own web sites, but unless you know about the organizations, you're unlikely to find their sites. CareerSearch is a database to unlock the hidden job market and to search for potential employers to get contact information and web addresses.
- If you are looking at advertised job openings and not finding what you're seeking, you may need to search for potential employers, who aren't advertising positions, but who might give an internship or full-time job to someone who has the initiative to do some research on the organization, make contact and make a good pitch.
- If you are focusing your job search on a particular geographic location, CareerSearch is an excellent tool to identify organizations you might not otherwise know exist.
- If you are interested in a very specific industry, CareerSearch is great for this purpose.
Remember that CareerSearch is a database of employers not jobs. Once you find an employer you are interested in, you will need to write, call or e-mail that employer to inquire about potential openings and how you would be a good fit for their organization. You will need to present yourself in the most effective manner possible. Please contact
Career Services if you need assistance in preparing to reach out to potential employers.
