Intern Profile: Alicia Bunnell

I interned at Innovative Counseling because I was looking for more experience in the psychology field.  This was a great opportunity to meet and work with professionals in the psychology field, to practice my research skills, and to learn more about various mental illnesses.

My internship responsibilities included completing research projects assigned to me, observing the sessions of a Senior Therapist to see first-hand what it's like to be a counselor, and attending weekly intern meetings.  The weekly intern meetings allowed me to learn about other intern's experiences while also sharing my own experiences.  My internship allowed me to gain experience in Counseling Psychology and to learn more about what I really want to go into after undergraduate school. 

I feel my internship has prepared me for my future and has helped me develop as a professional by giving me hands-on experience in the field of psychology.
