Intern Profile: Emily Fobian
Being a business major at SNC, I realize that experience and applicable job knowledge is extremely important in landing a career after college. This is why I was quick to obtain as many internships as possible during my four year academic career.
One of the most valuable positions I held was at First Bank Financial Centre in my hometown during the summer of 2007. Working as one of the Marketing and Operations Interns, my job responsibilities included working closely with the marketing department and assisting in daily projects. I organized the bank’s product inventory, created direct mail pieces, contacted various publications for promotional material, archived projects in portfolios, and aided in many of the large scale projects and promotions the marketing office implemented.
Besides gaining a professional and highly motivating experience, my internship has clarified my career interests. An internship can be an excellent way to learn more about yourself and what really interests you. I would advise everyone to experience an internship before leaving St. Norbert College!
