Intern Profile: Lauren Senour
I interned at WOGB because I wanted to see what the difference between our college radio and professional radio was. This was a great opportunity to learn about a variety of aspects of the field, including editing and managing radio content, writing weekly community announcements, attending events as a representative for WOGB, and managing multiple projects in the production. It was really neat to hear announcements I wrote on air and get so involved!
I learned a lot about the field, but had limited hours by choice and could have gained more from the internship if I spent more time there. I feel my internship has prepared me for my future and has helped me develop as a professional by putting me in a position to understand the business better. I now know how truly detail-oriented radio stations have to be.
