Intern Profile: Rachel Wollersheim
I interned at the Village of Wrightstown because I felt that local government would be an interesting place to explore my writing and communication skills. This was a great opportunity to see a career that relies heavily on writing, research, and communication, while also focusing heavily on networking and interacting with various people.
My internship responsibilities included writing letters, networking with local businesses, and contacting local media. During this time I gained experience in public relations and learned more about how to best network with others. By using writing skills, I also became better at writing in a variety of styles.
I feel my internship has prepared me for my future and has helped me develop as a professional by teaching me about the importance of networking and the importance of communicating clearly.
