On-Campus Recruiting

Acuity Each year professionals representing various fields visit St. Norbert College with hopes of meeting qualified candidates to fill their full-time and internship hiring needs. Students have an opportunity to meet one-on-one with these employers via on-campus interviews set up through Career Services.

Student Requirements

Policies and Expectations

  • Sign up only for interviews that genuinely interest you and for which you have done the prerequisite reflection and research to understand how appropriate it is for you to interview with the employer. Sign up in Career Services at least 72 hours (3 business days) in advance.
  • Show up to every interview for which you sign up at least 10-15 minutes in advance of the interview.
    • If you are running late, please call 920-403-3040.
    • Cancellation of an interview must be made at least 72 hours in advance.
    • Failure to show up for a scheduled interview and/or cancellation less than 48 hours in advance results in suspension from the program and a letter of apology to the employer.
  • Attend workshops offered by Career Services to help you prepare and succeed.
  • Prepare for your interviews.
  • Dress appropriately.

  • Before you accept an offer, give it ample thought. If you need assistance reflecting upon the offer, set up an appointment with a Career Services staff member. Backing out of an offer can damage your reputation and that of the College.
  • Once you accept an offer, inform Career Services so that you can be removed from remaining interview schedules and the online Resume Referral Program.
  • Career Services and the National Association of Colleges and Employers recommend that alcohol not be a part of the interview process. Alcohol potentially opens up an opportunity for you to make a bad impression or have your judgment clouded.
  • Inform the Career Services Director of any concerns about the interview process. He is an advocate for both you and the employer and wants to facilitate a positive experience. Your comments will be kept confidential unless you give him permission to share them with the appropriate employer.
Please contact Career Services with questions regarding On-Campus Recruiting.
