The Faculty in Business Administration fully supports and affirms the mission of St. Norbert College to provide students with a liberal education contributing to the students' intellectual, personal, and moral development. To this end, the discipline's faculty members fully support the philosophy and goals of the College and recognize the General Education program as the basis for all Business Administration curricula.
Each Business Administration curriculum, in support of the General Education program, helps students develop skills for effective communication, problem-solving, and logical decision-making. These curricula also help students develop an understanding of ethical issues.
Each Business Administration curriculum helps students become knowledgeable and skilled business professionals and prepares them for graduate business education. Each curriculum also provides a broad-based business preparation that enables majors to integrate theoretical and applied aspects of business, develop technical, conceptual, and human skills, and understand domestic and global business environments.
Three alternative majors lead to the baccalaureate (B.B.A.) degree in business administration: Business Administration, Accounting (including C.P.A., refer to the Accounting Program), and International Business and Language Area Studies (refer to IBLS Program).
Residency Requirement: In order to earn a B.B.A. degree from St. Norbert College, a student must earn satisfactory credit in at least six required business courses (BUAD) at St. Norbert College.
Independent Study: The number of independent studies in the 32 courses (128 semester credits) required for the B.B.A. degree is limited to three.
Internship: BUAD 494, internship for credit, can be taken only once for credit. This limit does not affect internships not taken for credit.
