Music Performance Major (14 courses): MUSI 381, 382 or 383, 384, eight ensemble courses, 167, 168, 267, 268, 367, 368, and eight semesters of applied music (or seven semesters plus MUSI 420).
-- Piano majors must also take MUSI 388 or Piano Literature.
-- Instrumental majors must also take one of the following: MUSI 362, 363, 365 or 366.
-- Vocal majors will take one additional half credit course to be determined in consultation with the voice faculty.
Music Education Major (12-14 courses): MUSI 381, MUSI 150, 167, 168, 267, 268, 367, 368, six ensemble courses, six semesters of applied music, EDUC 120, 125, 250, 281 (for half course credit), and EDUC 469-476 (four courses).
-- Certification for choral majors also includes MUSI 328, 382, 346 and EDUC 315, 317, and 318.
-- Cerrtification for instrumental majors also includes MUSI 362, 363, 365, 366, 383 and EDUC 316.
Music Liberal Arts Music Major (10 courses): MUSI 167, 168, 267, 268, 367, 368, 381, six ensemble courses and four semesters of applied music. HUMA 100 is also required.
Music - Special Education (3 courses): EDUC 281 (for half course credit), ADED 485 and 482, and two of the following: ADED 336, 337, 382, 383, 393. This sequence provides additional certification, Music-Adaptive Education License (859), for the Music Education major. Summer session attendance is required.
Music Academic Minor (6 courses, not certifiable): MUSI 167, six ensemble courses, four semesters of applied music (lessons), MUSI 381, and one of the following: MUSI 176, HUMA 100, MUSI 150 or MUSI 317.
Music Academic Minor in Music for Liturgists (6 courses): MUSI 167, 168, 051 (two semesters), 061 (two semesters), 055, 381, and four choral ensemble courses.
