Psychology Major (10 courses plus DS 224): The psychology major consists of eleven courses, including PS 100, DS 224, PS 301, plus one course from each of the six concentration areas below, plus two additional psychology electives. Concentration areas include: Biological (PS 370, 373, 380); Clinical (PS 212, 312, 345, 360); Developmental (PS 231, 320, DS 220); Perception, Learning, and Cognition (PS 331, 333, 337); Social (PS 221, 321, 325); and Psychology in Context (PS 410, 420). Psychology majors are also required to complete the Major Field Test (MFT) in Psychology during specified testing periods once during the first semester of their sophomore year and again during the second semester of their senior year.
Psychology Minor : (6 courses): The psychology minor consists of six courses, including PS 100, DS 224, PS 301, plus three courses selected from the six concentration areas below. Only one course may be selected from a given concentration area. The concentration areas include: Biological (PS 370, 373, 380); Clinical (PS 212, 312, 345, 360); Developmental (PS 231, 320, DS 220); Perception, Learning, and Cognition (PS 331, 333, 337); Social (PS 221, 321, 325); and Psychology in Context (PS 410, 420).
