Professional profile
I am the newest addition to the wonderful Children’s Center staff! In May 2008, I graduated from St. Norbert College with a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood/Elementary Education.  For the past two summers I have interned at the Children’s Center as the Kid’s Kamp Teacher.

During my senior year of college I student taught at Aldo Leopold Community School in a Kindergarten classroom. I also participated in a student teach abroad program where I taught fifth and sixth grade in Auckland, New Zealand.  From these two unique experiences, I have developed a teaching philosophy that focuses strongly in experiential learning and child directed lessons.  This allows the children to be in an environment where they are able to explore, to question, to work independently, to engage in play with their peers and interact with adults.

I am excited to put my St. Norbert education to use right here in our own Children’s Center. I am also looking forward to working with the college education students on their way to becoming excellent teachers!
